that in mind, we have many areas of ministry in which

Ministry
Bro. Ray Sutton is
the youth pastor and always has something fun in store
for the youth. He plans various church and community
projects through-out the year. (Community Changers,
Carpenters for Christ, Fund-Raisers, etc.) He
also plans youth camps and retreats. (Inquest Camp,
Look-Up Lodge, Dare 2 Share, Kentucky Mission Trip) |

 Impact:
Women's Ministry
This
ministry is one of the most active in our church.
Every lady is invited to be a part of Impact.
There are several headings under the umbrella
of IMPACT.

PEOPLE HELPERS - This is where small groups of women
prepare meals for sickness that requires a hospital stay and
deaths in the church family. We welcome anyone to participate
in this.
CARE AND SHARE - Anyone who likes to work with their
hands doing sewing, crafts, painting, etc. would enjoy working
in this area.
MEALS ON WHEELS - Deliver meals to shut-ins on Saturday
and Sunday. Meals are picked up at The Skillet in Waverly
Hall.
JAIL MINISTRY - The jail ministry meets the first Tuesday
of each month in the Harris County Jail. Please keep them in
your prayers.
BIBLE STUDIES - Carol Henschel heads up our Bible Studies
which are held a monthly throughout the a year.
THEME TEAM- Planning and set up for the conferences,
Bible studies, meetings, and other church functions.
WOMEN'S CONFERENCE- Annual Conference
held each year, open to the community. |
Music
Ministry
Psalm 150:6 says, "Let everything
that hath breath praise the LORD. Praise ye the LORD." We
have one of the most dynamic music ministries in the area. Ron
Collins is our Minister of Music and leads our choir in selections
arranged by composers such as Lari Goss, Don Marsh, and Camp
Kirkland, with accompaniments from such music companies as Benson,
Integrity, Prism, Maranatha, and Sparrow. Special
music comes in the form of solos, duets, trios, and occasionally
instruments.

Television Ministry: Cornerstone's Sunday morning worship
services can be seen on WLTZ, Channel 38 Sunday's at 10:00 am.

x 4 Fellowship
This is an extremely unique ministry in our church. In
this ministry, participants sign up as either a host
or hosted. The hosted are randomly placed in
a host home. A married couple (2 people) host
4 families for an evening in their home. This
is a time of wonderful fellowship and getting to know
other brothers and sisters in Christ whom they would
not ordinarily meet or know that well. Meals
are provided and a time of prayer or a short prayer
is given. This ministry has really bonded our
church family closer together.
 Drama
Every year, many members of our
church get to participate in our Christmas Cantatas and Easter
Passion Plays. These plays are very dramatic as they are
performed with incredible sound and lighting effects. Various
other plays and skits are performed through-out the year in church
services and special events. Rita Farless is the drama
director of holiday productions. Alice Peters directs most
other skits.
Project Moses
This is a part of our men's prayer
ministry. In the Old Testament, as long as Moses held up
his arms, the Israelites would win the war against Amalek (Exodus
17:10-12). During each of our church services, two men
go to different parts of the church to pray for God's blessing
on the pastor as he preaches God's Word. They also pray for the
congregation as they listen that they will understand the message
and yield to the Holy Spirit. |
